Kusatsu
International Ski Resort is open all year round.
In summer time, the slopes become multi-purpose playground
for summer sports and other activities. The area also offers
a variety of recreation in the nature unique to the highland
resort, such as guided hiking tours. At the end of a day, unwind
yourself at Belz Onsen Center where you can enjoy the famous
Kusatsu hot spring and the scenery seen from the window.
Kusatsu Snow&Spa Resort was developed
in early Taisho period (1912-1926). In 1948, Japan's first
ski lift was put in for service on Tenguyama. The six oldest
ski resorts in the area formed a group called "Mountain
6" in 1999 and announced to become Japan's finest mountain
ski sites.
