The highlight of this tour is a birds'-eye view of Yugama crater, the largest among three craters on the summit of Mt. Shirane at 2160 meters above sea level. Yugama, known for its mysterious and beautiful emerald green color lake water, is a symbol of Kusatsu Hot Springs. Due to the hot sulfur water springing forth from deep under the ground, the lake never freezes even during winter. * Free shuttle bus service is provided between Shirane Volcano Aerial Ropeway Sanroku Terminal, Kusatsu Snow&Spa Resort (Tenguyama), and Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal.

Kusatsu Volcano Gondola Take a gondola from Base Terminal to Summit. Be sure to wear warm clothes.
